Signed Free Agent Jason McMinn will be sidelined for an as yet unknown amount of time due to Bell's
Palsy. A 6'6 400 pound addition to the defensive line, McMinn is still expected to be a big addition to the
lineup. McMinn was a 2007 All Star with the Michigan Admirals and is expected improve an already
daunting defensive line that includes two other All Stars in Defensive Tackle Brad Lyon and Defensive
    End Roberto Bakos.

Bell's Palsy is a condition that causes the facial muscles to weaken or become paralyzed. It is caused by
trauma to the 7th cranial nerve and is not permanent. Roughly 40,000 Americans suffer from Bell's Palsy
each year. Recovery time ranges from approximately three week to three months in most cases but has
been known to take 9 months or more in roughly 15% of cases studied.

The Patriots plan to feature a Bell's Palsy awareness month this season, including a featured story in the
    Patriot Insider Magazine publication.
